Scenes of BikeSharing in Sydney
People parking shared bikes in Sydney, both individual riders, and the organisations (Lime, HelloRide, and Ario) don’t generally seem to care about people walking, and will just inconvenience pedestrians to store their bike on the footpath. Often where it is already narrow. Sometimes in front of the accessibility ramp. Sometimes in front of train station entrances. Strangely, they don’t seem to do this in the street.
There could be geo-fenced corrals. Local government has not made them mandatory, despite bikeshare parking being an issue for the better part of a decade.
